Ring Jewellers in London
This page is not my editorial opinion. It is a ranking built entirely from Google Business review evidence, covering 310 verified engagement ring jewellers across London, and as far as we can tell it exists nowhere else on the internet. Google will not assemble it for you, and an AI assistant cannot. My own recommendations live in the location guides, and they are a different thing on purpose.

I pulled every jewellery business Google lists within 15km of central London, 1,120 of them, then checked each one against its own website to establish a single fact: does it actually sell engagement rings? That removed watch repairers, gold buyers, pawnbrokers, piercing studios, two tattoo parlours and a supermarket, all of which Google files under "jewellery". 310 businesses survived as genuine engagement ring jewellers.
Why nobody else has this list. Not because the data is secret. Google holds every number on this page, but spread across 1,120 separate listings with no way to see them ranked together, and most of those listings are not engagement ring jewellers at all. Assembling it means checking every business individually, which is slow, unglamorous work. AI assistants cannot do it either: they have no access to live Google review data, so ask one for London's best-reviewed ring jewellers and you will get a plausible list assembled from whichever websites market themselves best. This page is the checked version, and the review counts beside every entry are how you hold us to that.
Two deliberate exclusions. High-street and mass-market chains are not ranked, because a national brand's review count reflects footfall across dozens of shops rather than how well it sells engagement rings. Nor are gold-buying and pawn-led shops, even where their sites list rings. Both still count towards the 310; they simply do not appear in the ranking. Why the website test, and not the reviews. An earlier version of this ranking judged businesses by what their reviewers wrote about. That method quietly excluded some of London's best known houses, because people reviewing a Bond Street boutique describe the service, not the ring they bought. Reviews tell you how a business treats people. Only the business's own website tells you what it sells.
Ranking uses a Wilson score lower bound on the proportion of four and five star reviews rather than the raw average. In plain terms it asks: given this much evidence, what is the lowest score we can be confident in? A 5.0 from nine reviews is weaker evidence than a 4.9 from two thousand, and the raw average cannot express that. Businesses need at least 25 reviews to appear.
Why two jewellers showing the same rating are not ranked equally. This is worth explaining, because 113 of the 310 jewellers here show 5.0 and the star rating alone cannot separate them. The ranking works on the underlying proportion of positive reviews, not the rounded star figure. Google rounds to one decimal place, so a spotless record and a near-spotless one both display as 5.0 while being measurably different.
Take the top two. Lewis Malka London has 920 positive reviews out of 920, which is 100.00%, an unblemished record. Cullen Jewellery Lab Grown Diamond Engagement Rings London has 723 out of 723, or 100.00%. Both round to 5.0, and the second has -197 more reviews, but two dissatisfied customers are enough to place it second. 67 of the jewellers on this list have never had a review below four stars.
So the general rule is that more reviews rank higher, because more evidence means more confidence. The exception is a genuinely flawless record, which can outweigh a larger sample carrying a couple of complaints. Neither is a better jeweller by definition, and the review counts are shown throughout so you can judge for yourself.
What this measures, and what it does not. Google reviews capture the customer experience: how people were treated, whether the ring arrived on time, whether the process felt reassuring. They do not measure the quality of a diamond or the skill of a setter. A specialist doing high volume will accumulate hundreds of reviews; a heritage house on Bond Street selling fewer, larger stones will not. That is why several of London's most respected jewellers do not appear here at all, and why this page sits alongside my editorial guides rather than replacing them.
London's Engagement Ring Trade Lives in Hatton Garden
Of the 310 verified jewellers, 144 are in Hatton Garden. In the top 100 the concentration is even sharper, at 69. That is not a quirk of the method, it is the shape of the market: a few streets in EC1 hold more engagement ring specialists than the rest of London combined.
If you are only going to visit one area, the data is unambiguous about which one. If you would rather stay local, the by-district section below lists the best rated jewellers in each part of London, drawn from the same verified set.
Many of These Are Not Walk-in Shops
This matters more than it sounds. A large share of Hatton Garden's best rated jewellers work from offices, workshops and bourses upstairs rather than street-level shopfronts. Turning up unannounced will often get you nowhere, and it is the single most common way a first visit gets wasted.
So each entry below is tagged with how you actually get in, taken from the jeweller's own Google listing rather than guessed:
- Walk-in welcome (113 of 310) offers in-store shopping without an appointment.
- Appointment advised (67) has a showroom you can visit, but books appointments and will serve you better if you call ahead.
- Appointment only (40) means exactly that. Several of the highest ranked names on this page fall into this group, including the number one.
Where no tag appears, 90 listings in total, Google holds no service information and you should ring before travelling. None of this is a criticism of the appointment-only model: lower overheads are a large part of why Hatton Garden prices compare well with Bond Street.

My Own Recommendations Are Different
This ranking answers one question: where do the most customers report the best experiences? It is a useful question, and it is measured honestly here. But it is not the same as asking which jeweller is right for you.
For that, the location guides weigh things review counts cannot: the quality of the stones, whether the house will take on an unusual commission, how it feels to sit down with them, and whether the after-sales service is any good. Several jewellers I rate most highly do not appear on this page because they sell fewer rings to fewer people, very well. Read both, and use each for what it is good for.
