You Can Cover Several Districts in a Single Day
The districts are much closer together than people expect. Bond Street to Knightsbridge is a twenty-minute walk. Knightsbridge to Chelsea is twelve. Hatton Garden is fifteen minutes from Mayfair by tube. If you're coming from elsewhere in the UK or from abroad, a well-planned day trip or weekend covers everything you'd realistically want to see. Book appointments ahead, especially for bespoke consultations, and go on a weekday if you can: Saturdays in Hatton Garden are busy, and showrooms have more time for you midweek.
Morning on Bond Street to see the grand houses and calibrate your eye. Walk to Knightsbridge for the mid-afternoon, then finish in Chelsea with an independent studio. Three tiers of the market, one afternoon, all on foot.
Start early in Hatton Garden while it's quiet and compare three or four dealers. Take the Central line to Bond Street after lunch to see what the same money looks like at the top of the market. The contrast is the education.
Day one: browse widely, no commitments, across two or three districts. Day two: return to your shortlist with fresh eyes and book the serious conversations. Buyers travelling from outside London regularly settle the whole decision this way, and the ring becomes part of the story of the trip.
