A Designer-Maker Across the Road From the British Museum
Edward Fleming started in the trade in 2004 at sixteen, worked in shops and workshops for a decade, then took a jewellery design degree at Central St Martins, graduating in 2018 and founding Edward Fleming Jewellery in 2019. The studio and workshop sit on the first floor of 91 Great Russell Street in Bloomsbury, and the jewellery is made on site.
Google shows 177 reviews. We analysed 170, and every one of them is five star, with 25 from the past twelve months. A record without a single review below five stars is rare at this volume.
Two things set the offer apart. The diamond search covers lab-grown and natural stones in the hundreds of thousands, searchable on the site. And the make-your-own wedding ring workshops let couples spend a day making each other’s rings under guidance, which almost nobody else in central London offers.
A Central St Martins designer-maker where you speak directly to the person making your ring, and 170 of 170 analysed reviews are five star.
London Engagement Rings#28 of 311 Verified London Jewellers
Our Top 100 ranks every London business we could verify as a genuine engagement ring jeweller, 311 of them from a pool of 1,120 candidates, on the strength of their Google review evidence. Edward Fleming Jewellery ranks #28 of 311.
They also appear on four of our ranked lists: No. 6 on our Outside Hatton Garden list, and they are on our Highest Rated, Open Late and Lab-Grown Specialists lists.
The Right Buyer for Edward Fleming Jewellery
This suits a buyer who wants to deal directly with the designer and maker rather than a sales floor: visits are appointments at the workshop, and you speak to the person who will make the piece. It is No. 6 on our Outside Hatton Garden list.
It also suits couples drawn to the idea of making their own wedding rings: the workshop day is a popular, genuinely different way to come by them. Less suited to anyone who wants to browse a ready-made window; this is a design studio, not a shop.
