Founded in 1950 by Isidor Neuwirth and named after his newborn son David, the shop is still under the same ownership. Seventy-five years in one family is rare in any retail trade and close to unheard of in jewellery, where most long-standing names have been sold on at least once.

The stock reflects it. There are dedicated antique and Art Deco collections alongside the modern range, which matters for engagement rings specifically: an antique-cut stone from the 1920s behaves differently from a modern brilliant, with more fire and less uniform sparkle, and it is a look you cannot buy new at any price.
